Superb innings for Eleri (a.k.a WILL.I.AMS)
On the 29th June 2010, Cressely Ladies played Burton Ladies in the Skelfayre Cup competition; Burton batted first and scored 132 for 3 off 20 overs with Elaine Scale scoring an amesome 62 not out. Cresselly opened the batting with Eleri Williams and Rebecca Williams who was caught for a total of 17. Eleri was eventually run out in the 15th over for a superb total of 56; an impressive and solid batting performance which included 6 fours. Eleri was supported by Molly Furnival-Doran who was not out for a total of 25, giving Cresselly a finishing score of 118 at the end of the 20 overs. This great batting effort by Cresselly meant a close finish but the 132 total eventually proved too large for Cresselly. |

New Rule for Cresselly Ladies 2010 season:
If a match is not played on the scheduled Tuesday evening due to weather conditions then the match shall be played on the Thursday evening of that week. If still no play is possible then 5 points shall be awarded to each team. If this rearrangement leads to the unavailability of the home team's ground then the game shall move to the away team's ground or a neutral venue if required and agreed upon by both teams.
This rule applies to weather affected matches only, not if the home team's pitch is unavailable on the Tuesday due to men's/junior cup games.
In this case the game shall be played on the Tuesday evening at the away team's ground or a neutral venue if required and agreed upon by both teams. The original fixture shall be played in the second half of the season where possible.
All other rules remain the same as last year, weather affected Cup matches shall be played on the following evening as in previous seasons.
Skelfayre Cup Final 2010 to be played on Sunday July 18th, reserve date July 25th.

2009 Rule Changes- Ladies League
The league has now adopted the Cup points system:
10 points for a win, 1 bowling bonus point for every 2 wickets taken, max 15 points for a win.
In the event of a team batting short and their opponents capture all available wickets the max 5 bowling points shall be awarded.
In the event of a tie, 5 points will be awarded to each team plus any bowling points.
If matches are not played due to weather conditions, 5 points will be awarded to each team.
